KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Frontline Support Worker
- Monitoring of all guest areas within 182 High St facility.
- Ensure all standard operating policies and procedures are followed and consistently maintained by all guests.
- Respond to medical and/or behavioral incidents and coordinate emergency responses as required.
- Provide goods, services, and guest supports while maintaining healthy guest-staff boundaries.
- Support guests as assigned in completing action-oriented, housing focused case management goals.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports, forms, and HIFIS files as required.
- Support HHA service delivery teams and community partner teams as required.
Housing Specific
- Support residents with daily living skills, routines, and housing expectations.
- Reinforce program rules, residential agreements, and community standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed.
- Encourage resident engagement in case plans, appointments, and programming.
- Document significant interactions and concerns.
- Monitor resident and visitor activity to ensure safety and compliance with program rules.
- Conduct regular walk-throughs and safety checks of the property.
- Respond to incidents such as conflicts, medical concerns, or alarms.
- Follow emergency procedures, including fire safety and evacuation protocols.
- Ensure secure handling of keys, logs, and safety equipment.
- Complete shift reports, incident reports, and daily logs accurately and on time.
- Communicate important information to incoming staff during shift handover.
- Record maintenance issues, resident concerns, and behavioral observations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
- Assist with room readiness, including cleanliness checks and supply monitoring.
- Support intakes, discharges, and temporary step-downs as directed.
- Ensure common areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Coordinate with caseworkers, management, and community partners as required.
Job Requirement
- Start date As soon as possible
- Location: In-person, Moncton Area, NB
- Current Certification in First Aid/CPR is an asset
- Vulnerable Sector Clearance (VSC) mandatory before starting
- Social Development Record Check is mandatory before starting
- Non-violent crisis intervention training considered an asset.
- Class 5 License and atleast 1 year continous vehicle insurance is mandatory for Housing Support Worker Role
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements
- A minimum of one year of prior related experience, including frontline involvement in a social service environment, considered an asset

- Ability to educate and/or coordinate with other providers on various life skills.

- Note taking and file management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to identify challenges, gathering all the facts of a person’s case.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to engage participants and refer them to resources in the community, journeying with them on their path to wellness.
- Familiar with community resources.
- Be a team player and a person with positive thinking to develop a good working.
- French considered an asset.
