Full job description

Job Summary

Reporting to the Supportive Housing and Outreach Manager, the Supportive Housing Coordinator supports women and children who are survivors of gender-based violence and reside in Crossroads for Women's supportive housing programs. The Coordinator oversees the day-to-day delivery of supportive housing services through comprehensive case management, group sessions and property oversight for Second-Stage, Third Stage and Blossom House. This role is also responsible for conducting interviews for all supportive housing units while fostering safe, stable housing and supporting residents in their transition toward independence.

Responsibilities

Coordinate tenant intake processes, including conducting interviews and supporting the selection of residents for the second-stage and other supportive housing units.
Support women and children survivors of domestic violence residing in supportive housing through a trauma-informed, client-centred approach that promotes safety, stability, and independence.
Coordinate and manage lease documentation, tenant agreements, and related administrative processes. Liaise with New Brunswick Housing.
Coordinate maintenance requests, unit upkeep, and communication with contractors or service providers to ensure housing units remain safe and well-maintained.
Facilitate regular resident group meetings and programming that fosters community connection, peer support, and access to resources.
Provide information, referrals, and practical support to residents related to housing stability, legal, financial, health, and social services.
Maintain accurate and confidential tenant records, files, and program documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
Track program activity, occupancy, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
Support the Supportive Housing and Outreach Manager with administrative tasks and day-to-day operations of the supportive housing program.
Attend community events, promoting the supportive housing and other programs of Crossroads for Women.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners to ensure residents can access appropriate services and supports.
Accompany tenants to appointments, ensuring they have access to basic needs, and coordinate with other internal staff to support tenant well-being.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to trauma-informed care, domestic violence, and supportive housing practices.

Qualifications

Education: Post-secondary education in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in crisis intervention, gender-based violence support, or a similar role.
Cultural Competency: Strong understanding of community resources and systems that affect survivors.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (French bilingualism preferred)
Advocacy & Navigation: Knowledge of trauma-informed, feminist, and anti-oppressive frameworks.
Data Management: Experience tracking program metrics, preparing reports, and handling confidential client information.
Flexibility: Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for client appointments preferred
Satisfactory vulnerable sector and criminal record check.
