About the Role:
At Golden Prairie Health Centre, we are committed to making every patient interaction clear, efficient, and welcoming. We are looking for a Patient Access Coordinator (m/f/d) to support the smooth coordination of patient appointments, registration, referrals, and access to healthcare services.
You will work closely with patients, clinical teams, physicians, and administrative staff to ensure that patients receive timely and accurate support throughout their healthcare journey. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Access Coordination: Coordinate patient appointments, registrations, referrals, and follow-up requirements while ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Patient Support: Respond to patient questions regarding appointments, scheduling, documentation, and access to services in a professional and compassionate manner.
Scheduling: Manage appointment calendars, coordinate changes and cancellations, and communicate scheduling updates to patients and clinical teams.
Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate patient information and ensure required documentation is completed according to organizational procedures.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical departments, physicians, and administrative teams to resolve scheduling and patient-access issues.
Communication: Handle telephone, email, and in-person inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and a high standard of customer service.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in patient access, healthcare administration, medical reception, scheduling, or a related healthcare support role.
Education: Post-secondary education in healthcare administration, medical office administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with patient registration, appointment scheduling, referrals, medical terminology, and healthcare administrative processes.
Technology: Comfortable using electronic health records, scheduling systems, Microsoft Office, and other administrative software.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff.
Mindset: You are organized, dependable, empathetic, and able to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Pay: $4,692.00-$6,500.00 per month
