About Us

McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

Position and Responsibilities

Perform carpentry and related building maintenance tasks such as camp windows, lock sets, stairwell rehabilitation, and various office renovations.
Installation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, equipment, and other duties as assigned

This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 90 days.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson carpenter ticket;
minimum five years of carpentry experience in an industrial or mining environment;
strong team player with excellent communication skills;
excellent safety record; and
work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Assets:

SAP experience;
First Aid certification;
Maintenance experience; and
Scaffolder proficiency certification.

Conditions of Employment:

Trade verification; and
Pre-employment substance test.
