Right Choice Energy Services Inc. (RCESI) is currently accepting applications for Labourers/Welder Helpers to join our growing team based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Shop and/or Site Supervisor(s), you will play an important role in supporting fabrication and construction activities in both our shop and field environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is interested in building a career in the skilled trades.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Reporting fit for duty at the beginning of each shift
- Assisting with mechanical and structural fabrication activities
- Performing set up and clean up tasks
- Assisting with piping bolt up activities
- Loading and unloading trailers and materials
- Safely operating tools and equipment as required
- Transporting materials between shop and worksite locations
- Rigging and signaling lifting equipment (training provided)
- General housekeeping duties
- Performing other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will be:
- Safety conscious and meet all safety requirements
- Be physically capable of performing the demands of the position, including lifting over 20lbs, working safely at heights from scaffolds or aerial work platforms, and demonstrating worksite mobility
- Hold or be willing to obtain before their start date, valid First Aid and H2S Alive certifications
- Interested in enrolling, or working towards a welding or pipefitting apprenticeship would be considered an asset
- Have experience with, or a willingness to learn, civil, structural, and piping work
- Be willing to work overtime and weekends when required
- Be willing to travel throughout Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba
- Hold a valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract (Class 5G preferred or willingness to obtain)
This is a safety sensitive position. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test. In addition, audiometric and lung function testing will be scheduled by the Health & Safety Coordinator upon hire in accordance with applicable provincial regulations.
