General Manager / Service Manager – Automotive Repair Shop

Base Salary: $70,000–$85,000 + Performance Bonus ($10,000–$20,000)
Total Compensation: $80,000–$100,000+

We are a long-established, family-owned automotive repair shop seeking an experienced General Manager / Service Manager to lead daily operations and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with the owner.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Team lead Mechanic/ Service Writer ready to step into leadership and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day shop operations and workflow
Write estimates, sell repairs, and explain services clearly
Manage customer relationships using CRM and shop management software
Schedule work and dispatch technicians efficiently
Lead and support:
Three licensed automotive technicians
One parts specialist
Coordinate parts ordering and job timelines
Maintain strong customer satisfaction, productivity, and profitability
Implement systems and processes that support long-term growth

Required Experience & Skills

5+ years in an automotive repair shop environment
Experience as a Service Manager, General Manager, or Senior Service Advisor
Strong service writing and repair sales skills
CRM / shop management software experience (major asset)
Proven leadership and team management ability
Highly organized, motivated, and accountable

Compensation Structure

Base Salary: $70,000–$85,000 (based on experience)
Performance Bonus: $10,000–$20,000+ annually
Shop sales & profitability
Customer satisfaction
Workflow efficiency & team performance
Total Compensation Potential: $80,000–$100,000+
