Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge (GKLL) is seeking an Guest Relations Sales Associate to join our growing Guest Relations department. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is friendly and outgoing, with an excellent standard in customer service, who can multitask effectively and who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Guest Relations Manager, the Sales Associate is responsible for supporting revenue growth across all business types at Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge. This role focuses on converting inquiries into confirmed bookings, following up on leads, preparing proposals and quotes, and providing a professional, guest-focused sales experience from first contact through booking confirmation.
The Sales Associate will promote Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge's Catskiing experiences, Corporate Retreats, Content Summits, Destination Weddings, Elopements, and Special events. The role also includes occasional travel to trade shows, industry events, and direct business sales meetings to represent Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge and generate qualified opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote all business lines including Catskiing, Corporate Retreats, Content Summits, Weddings, Elopements, and Special Events.
- Prepare customized proposals, quotes, booking packages, and sales materials with the Marketing team.
- Monitor new leads through the CRM system and track sales process.
- Qualify leads and identify client needs through consultation and discovery calls.
- Respond to inquiries by phone, email, and other channels in a timely and professional manner.
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings.
- Support sales objectives and revenue targets established by management.
- Identify upselling opportunities that improve guest experience and increase booking value.
- Understand nuances of juggling reservations across calendar dates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Provide a high level of service throughout the sales process.
- Assist clients in selecting packages and services that best meet their needs.
- Support repeat bookings and referral opportunities through professional follow-up and relationship management.
- Represent Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge at wedding expos, tourism events, networking functions, and industry events.
- Travel from time to time for sales events, and direct business sales meetings.
- Conduct in-person presentations or meetings with prospective clients when required.
- Promote the Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge brand professionally and generate qualified leads from in-person sales opportunities.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and be comfortable travelling for work when required.
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, client communications, quotes, proposals, and booking progress.
- Track sales opportunities through the sales pipeline and CRM or tracking systems.
- Prepare regular sales activity updates for the Guest Relations Manager and Marketing Manager.
- Assist with maintaining sales materials, proposal templates, package information, and client-facing resources.
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and lead generation priorities.
- Coordinate with the Operations and Guest Relations team to ensure booking details are accurate and properly handed off.
- Communicate client requirements clearly to support a seamless guest experience from booking through arrival.
Key Skills and Attributes :
- Previous experience in sales, hospitality, tourism, events, reservations, or customer service.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Word, and Excel.
- A willingness and enthusiasm to jump in and help with any aspect of operations when needed.
- Effective communication skills to relay concise direction.
- Strong organization, time-management, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities at the same time.
- Excels under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining physical stamina, a positive mental attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from the lodge. Accommodations will be provided on shift should you choose to stay.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing and moving necessary to perform job duties.
- Open to working a diverse schedule to accommodate the event schedule (including weekends).
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
Salary & Shifts:
- $27 to $32 /hour plus accommodations and meals when on site.
- Variety of mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Work is onsite at Keefer Lake Lodge with some flexibility to work remote occasionally.
- Role is bonus eligible.
