We are a busy hair salon looking for a dynamic person to join our reception/ sales team. This position is 30+ hours a week working within a Monday to Saturday schedule. Our team works together to create a flexible schedule that works for everyone.
This is a non stop action position!
Client Care is #1
- Welcoming clients and escorting into salon
- Answering phone & scheduling appointments on computer booking system
- Continuous coordination with all team members to ensure schedules are staying on track, all clients are receiving the best service possible and feeling cherished.
- Proactive Problem solving when schedules are affected
- Effectively and respectfully assisting clients when they have scheduling challenges
- Receiving payments and scheduling future appointments
- Coordinating communications between clients and stylists,
- Creating and marketing promotions and retail sales incentives
- Providing information and educating clients about take home retail products,
- Creating & receiving orders, tracking & maintaining inventory
- Assisting with cleaning and maintenance of the whole salon throughout the day
- Responsible for cleaning and closing down reception area at end of day
- Responsible for opening and/ or closing salon each day.
- Opening and closing the POS system, balancing float etc.
- Assisting stylists by taking photos/ videos of clients etc. for social media use.
- Attending regular team meetings and educational classes provided

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Previous reception experience is not necessary but may be an asset. An open mind and willingness to learn is paramount.
Previous retail sales experience is not necessary but will be an asset.

Attending both in-salon & online retail product knowledge classes and applicable training classes will be required.
**We have stairs- so the ability to go up and down the stairs many times throughout the day is necessary.
