We are currently looking to add a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician with a strong background in supermarket refrigeration to our team.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems, with a primary focus on supermarket refrigeration equipment. This role involves working independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, with a focus on supermarket refrigeration
- Work on rack refrigeration systems, display cases, and associated controls
- Troubleshoot and program refrigeration control systems and Building Management System (BMS) interfaces
- Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in supermarket refrigeration (highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration controls and building management systems (BMS)
- Ability to work independently and effectively troubleshoot complex systems
- Valid Refrigeration Mechanic certification (Red Seal or equivalent considered an asset)
- Gas ticket and/or electrical experience considered an asset
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
