Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting daily bakery operations, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food industry experience, with a focus on creating delicious baked goods and providing excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread.
Decorate cakes and desserts with attention to detail using cake decorating techniques.
Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Package baked items for display or customer orders, ensuring quality and presentation.
Support kitchen operations by cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly.
Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections.
Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies needed for daily production.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
Assist in setting up displays and maintaining cleanliness in the bakery area.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or a restaurant environment is preferred.
Knowledge of cake decorating techniques is a plus.
Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is desirable.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
A passion for baking and creating visually appealing baked goods is essential.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
