Construction Planning Specialist

Annual salary: $ 131,100.00 - 165,800.00
Position Highlights
Reporting to the NCT Construction Planning & Controls Team Lead, and is responsible for providing schedule support and
leadership to the CCM Team.
What you'll do
<Duties>
- Work with CCM Team and our Contractors to ensure schedule submittals comply with NCT contract requirements
- Support NCT Procurement and Contracts Management Teams in the development of Contract Scheduling requirements
- Review NCT Contractors schedule submittals, and development of baseline schedules.
- Support NCT Contract management and claims.
- Develop project controls and progress reporting based on Contractors schedules.
- Support project progression meetings and development of the NCT project schedule.
- Coordinate interfaces across projects, phases, and stakeholders
- Integrate schedule, cost, and risk into decision support insights
- Support executive-ready reporting and governance support
- Drive continuous improvement and best practices
<Qualications>
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as business, economics, applied science, engineering, or project
management; preference may be given to candidates with a Master’s degree. An equivalent combination of education and
experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a capital project management organization or other related experience with
extensive experience leading high performing teams.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
- Experience working on major utility capital projects is considered an asset.
- A strong understanding of Regulatory, Environmental and Outage window constraints.
- Right-of-Way and Constructability logic around large transmission type project.
