About the Role
The successful candidate will play a highly visible and important role in the delivery of an amazing guest experience. There will be rotating shifts to manage a full day of exciting operations. Reporting to the Manager - Terminal Operations, our Guest Experience Agents will establish welcoming communication with guests, manage their expectations, and collaborate with all vessel and mariner teams to provide a memorable and seamless experience. This position is for Nanaimo.
This role requires working various shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
· Promote a customer-centric and friendly approach to service and experience.
· Welcome guests with enthusiasm, ensuring a memorable visit.
· Handle marine and shoreside operations with mooring lines and gangway setup.
· Manage ticket sales, check-in procedures, and inquiries with professionalism.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to protect customers and staff.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the terminal and front desk, ensuring all equipment is operational.
· Provide exceptional guest service, addressing complaints and feedback with professionalism and empathy.

What We’re Looking For
· Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
· Hands-on skills for lifting, carrying, and handling objects up to 50 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with assistance.
· Strong attention to detail and proficiency with technology.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality or the ferry/cruise ship industry, including handling customer complaints in fast-paced settings.
· Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and nights.
· Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, managing inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
· Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow.
· Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills for effective issue resolution.
Preferred but not required:
