Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with a keen eye for detail and design. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning cakes that meet customer specifications while ensuring high-quality standards in food preparation and handling. This role requires both artistic skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Design and decorate cakes according to customer requests and specifications, ensuring creativity and attention to detail.
Prepare various cake batters, icings, and fillings, adhering to food safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders in a timely manner while maintaining quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies needed for cake decorating and food preparation.
Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers regarding cake designs, flavors, and special requests.

Experience

Previous experience in cake decorating or a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen operations.
Strong background in baking is advantageous; knowledge of various baking methods is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
A creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics; experience in restaurant or culinary settings is beneficial.
