Duties
The Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) is responsible for prosecuting offences under federal jurisdiction and for contributing to the strengthening of Canada’s criminal justice system. The organization has approximately 1,000 employees, each of whom plays an important role in supporting this mandate. The Acquisitions Unit contributes to this work by providing essential contracting support for PPSC’s legal, operational and administrative activities.

The Finance and Acquisitions Directorate is responsible for establishing and managing contracts for Headquarters and all regional offices. We are a talented and dynamic team committed to delivering outstanding client service. We are seeking inspired, forward-thinking professionals to join our team and help transform how we deliver contracting services to our clients.

As an Acquisitions Officer at the PPSC, you will join a dynamic team based at 160 Elgin Street in Ottawa, where you will have the opportunity to administer procurement activities for goods and services. In this role, you will support the organization by coordinating purchases such as IT equipment, office furnishings, professional and operational services, and other resources essential to PPSC’s legal and administrative operations.

Asset Experience:

Experience in Materiel Management activities, such as inventory management, asset tracking, disposal of surplus assets, or supporting the development of related strategies.
Experience in procurement support activities, such as preparing purchase requisitions, communicating with suppliers, or coordinating procurement-related documentation.
Experience preparing bid solicitation documents for the procurement of goods and services, including reviewing Statements of Work (SOW), evaluation criteria, and resulting contract documents.
Experience using a financial or materiel management information system.
Experience using procurement tools from Shared Services Canada (SSC) or Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).

Asset Knowledge:

Knowledge of the federal government's policy framework for contracting and material management.
