Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our team in Sussex. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and will be working with our foreman

Responsibilities:

Assists with general maintenance and minor repairs under supervision, following dealer and manufacturer guidelines.
Learns and performs tasks from work orders accurately and efficiently.
Participates in training programs, meetings, and manufacturer-sponsored events to build technical knowledge.
Uses tools and equipment responsibly; maintains and returns them properly.
Coordinates with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
Inspect vehicles with guidance to identify additional maintenance or safety needs.
Communicate promptly with supervisors about additional work, delays, or unnecessary repairs.
Documents are all work performed and recommended in work orders.
Performs road tests when authorized.
Stays informed on technical bulletins and service updates.
Reports on faulty equipment and safety concerns to supervisors.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Follows environmental and safety regulations.
Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Must work towards obtaining certification
Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive wage: $18-$20 per hour with the exact amount based on years of experience
