Crabbe Mountain is home to the largest vertical descent in New Brunswick and offers premier skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and event experiences. We are looking to grow as a four-season destination with Mountain Biking expansion planned for the near future. Crabbe is positioned as a cornerstone of outdoor recreation and rural tourism in the province. Crabbe Mountain is entering an exciting chapter of growth and innovation.
Job Overview
At Crabbe Mountain, we believe that a strong foundation powers great experiences on the hill. As our Comptroller, you are the financial architect and operational anchor of the mountain, ensuring our resources are managed with precision so our team can focus on delivering the best snow and guest experiences in the region.
This role goes beyond traditional accounting. You provide the strategic oversight and operational leadership that keeps our mountain running smoothly—from managing complex financial landscapes to overseeing the human resources and facilities functions that support our entire staff. You’ll be the financial super-admin of our organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own all accounting operations, daily banking, accounts payable and receivable to payroll and general ledger maintenance.
- Translate numbers into strategy by preparing financial statements, forecasts, and variance analyses for management.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure we stay ahead of all accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist the administration of the HR function, to support the managers and supervisor.
- Oversee facility administration, ensuring safety compliance, managing vendor relationships, and leading capital planning initiatives.
- Develop and implement clear policies across finance, HR, and facilities to drive mountain-wide consistency.
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring seamless and timely audit processes.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.
- Spot opportunities for operational efficiency and cost savings to reinvest in the guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and mountain-wide health and safety regulations.

Experience & Education
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a comptroller or senior finance role.
- Proven track record in managing human and financial resources.
- Ability to manage organizational HR and Facilities functions.
- Expert knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Expert user of accounting software to manage workflow and improve processes.
- Significant experience using Google and Microsoft Office applications.
