Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and efficient Server/Counter Help to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent guest service, handle food and beverage orders accurately, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for the food industry, hospitality, and delivering memorable customer experiences. Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.

Duties

Greet guests promptly and courteously, taking their orders either at the counter or via POS system.
Use Micros POS or similar systems to process orders accurately and efficiently.
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and accuracy.
Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and service areas.
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly while maintaining quality service.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest questions confidently.
Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed, ensuring smooth operation during shifts.
Uphold high standards of guest services by addressing guest needs professionally and courteously.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and excellent communication abilities.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
Good time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed during shifts.
A team-oriented attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence. This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills in serving, cashiering, and guest services will be valued as you contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for all guests.

Pay: $15.90 per hour
