Full job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a detail-oriented Data Coordinator (Contract) to support key financial and operational initiatives on a short-term basis.
This role is primarily focused on data management, validation, and transactional review, with opportunities to contribute to broader analysis and process improvement efforts.
It is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional looking to gain practical experience in finance operations, data governance, and process optimization within a fast-paced environment.
This contract role is expected to run for up to 12 weeks, with the potential for extension based on project requirements.

What’s in it for you:
Shift: Monday – Friday / 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Rate: 20/hr

Key Responsibilities:
Data Management & Validation (Primary Focus)

Perform high-volume data entry, validation, and reconciliation across financial datasets
Review transactional data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Identify and resolve data discrepancies through detailed investigation
Maintain organized records and supporting documentation

Transactional & Vendor Review

Assist with the review and validation of third-party billing and charges
Cross-check invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy
Investigate discrepancies and support resolution efforts with internal stakeholders
Document findings and maintain audit-ready records

Data Analysis & Process Support

Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and potential process improvements
Summarize findings clearly and provide actionable recommendations
Support reviews of internal processes to improve efficiency and cost control

System & Process Improvements (Secondary)

Assist with updates to inventory and pricing data within the ERP system
Support improvements to how product and pricing data appear on customer-facing documents
Help transition manual processes into more automated workflows
Validate data accuracy following system changes

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Comfortable working with large volumes of data and repetitive tasks
Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate discrepancies
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
