Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Hand to support daily operations on our agricultural property. The ideal candidate will assist the farm manager with the day to day operations of potato crop management including operating and maintaining farm tractors and equipment, and other general farm tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the productivity and success of the farm. Candidates should be physically capable, reliable, and eager to learn about sustainable farming practices.

Duties

Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and equipment
Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, tillers, ...
Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment and infrastructure to ensure safety and efficiency
Assist with soil preparation, pest control, and crop rotation activities
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure compliance with safety protocols

Skills

Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining farm machinery
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for repairs
Knowledge of farm maintenance routines to ensure operational continuity
Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently in a rural environment

This position is vital for the smooth operation of our farm. We value hardworking individuals who are eager to contribute their skills while gaining hands-on experience in agriculture.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
