The Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick (LDANB) is seeking to interview and hire tutors to participate in our French Tutoring Program in the Fredericton region. This position is in-person and would take place at our Fredericton office. / Troubles d'apprentissage – Association du Nouveau-Brunswick (TAANB) cherche à interviewer et à embaucher des tuteurs pour participer à notre programme de français dans la région de Fredericton. Ce poste est en personne à notre bureau de Fredericton.

The French program has been designed to teach the fundamentals of reading and spelling by breaking down words into smaller, more manageable chunks. It teaches the phonemic structure of written language using a multi-sensory approach, which takes people with difficulties in reading and/or spelling into account. / Le programme français a été conçu pour enseigner les bases de la lecture et de l'orthographe en décomposant les mots en morceaux plus petits et plus faciles à gérer. Il enseigne la structure phonémique de la langue écrite à l'aide d'une approche multisensorielle, qui prend en compte les personnes ayant des difficultés de lecture et/ou d’orthographe.

When / Quand: The ideal candidate will be available during the after-school hours of 3:30pm-7:30pm, Monday - Thursday. Timings are somewhat flexible, but please note that our tutoring is done within this time frame in the fall. During the summer months, availability can range from 9:30am-7:30pm, as tutoring can be earlier in the day as well. / Le candidat idéal sera disponible pendant les heures de sortie de l'école, de 15h30 à 19h30, du lundi au jeudi. Les horaires sont un peu flexibles, mais notez que nos sessions de tutorat sont effectuées dans ce temps. Pendant les mois d’été, la disponibilité peut varier de 9h30 à 19h30, car le tutorat peut être plus tôt dans la journée.

Start Date / Date de début: Training would start as soon as candidates are hired. / La session de formation commencerait dès l'embauche des candidats.
