Full job description

Job Overview

Bell McGrath Theriault is seeking an organized, professional and dynamic individual to join its team as a Legal Assistant / Secretary-Receptionist.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, review and format correspondence and legal documents;

· Open, organize and maintain client files and follow up as required;

· Assist lawyers with the day-to-day management of their files;

· Manage deadlines, appointments and calendars;

· Communicate with clients and various parties involved in legal matters;

· Perform administrative duties related to legal files;

· Greet clients and answer telephone calls;

· Maintain confidentiality and ensure files are well organized.

Qualifications

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;

· Ability to manage multiple files and priorities;

· Professionalism, autonomy and initiative;

· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office;

· Excellent communication and client service skills;

· Bilingualism in French and English, both oral and written.

Education or experience in the legal or administrative field is considered an asset. Training may be provided to a candidate who demonstrates the required skills and a strong interest in the legal field.

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
