Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Pro Shop/Back Shop Attendant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes. This energetic position combines retail engagement with technical support, offering a lively environment for motivated individuals passionate about sports, merchandise, and customer service. You'll be responsible for assisting customers, managing product displays, handling sales transactions, and supporting the overall functionality of the pro shop and back shop areas. This paid position provides an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills, technical knowledge, and organizational abilities in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance with product selection, including equipment, apparel, and accessories
Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems for efficient checkout processes, including cash handling and transaction processing
Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques to attract customer attention
Support back shop operations by stocking shelves, managing inventory levels, and preparing products for sale or repair
Assist with technical sales by explaining product specifications and offering upselling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction
Ensure excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments, maintaining clear communication at all times

Skills

Multilingual abilities or bilingual skills to serve diverse customer needs effectively
Proven experience in retail sales or customer service environments with a focus on technical products or sports equipment
Strong communication skills to clearly explain product features and assist customers confidently
Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions
Excellent organizational skills to manage merchandising displays and inventory efficiently
Ability to perform product demos confidently and engage customers through active selling techniques
Time management skills to prioritize tasks in a busy retail setting while maintaining high service standards
Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication to support customer interactions both in person and over the phone
