About This Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Property Manager, who with the assistance of the administrative team will oversee the daily operations and management of our real estate portfolio across New Brunswick, with a primary focus in the Moncton and Saint John regions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service while supervising maintenance, renovations, and administrative activities associated with our rental portfolio. This role offers an opportunity to manage multiple properties, ensure tenant satisfaction, and maintain operational excellence in a dynamic, growing real estate company.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate property leasing, renewals, and tenant relations to ensure high occupancy rates and positive landlord-tenant relationships
Direct and supervise the operations of the local team
Oversee maintenance requests and coordinate repairs using property management software (Yardi)
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and optimal property conditions
Handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing, record keeping, and budget management for all property-related documents
Facilitate clear communication between tenants, vendors, contractors, and ownership through professional communication and customer service excellence
Negotiate lease terms, manage rent collections, and oversee service contracts to optimize property revenue
Maintain accurate tenant records and ensure timely follow-up on inquiries, maintenance requests, and operational issues
Assist with property marketing efforts and leasing activities to attract prospective tenants
Monitor and report on monthly and quarterly operating budgets, revenues, and expenses to ensure resources are used efficiently
Oversee adherence to health, safety, compliance, and environmental policies

Qualifications

Preferable 5 years of relevant property management or real estate administration experience
Proven background in customer service or sales, management experience is preferred
Experience with lease negotiations and rent collection is preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously

Technical Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of property management software (Yardi highly preferred)
Understanding of basic accounting principles and budgeting
