Full job description

Substitute Teachers are a vital part of our school communities. With a dynamic and active teaching workforce, we rely on qualified individuals to fill daily vacancies across our Kindergarten to Grade 12 classrooms—both English and French— throughout the school district.

We offer a range of substitute teaching opportunities that support student learning and contribute to safe, inclusive, and engaging school environments.

Qualifications

Must hold a university undergraduate degree (minimum 120 credit hours), or
Be currently enrolled in a recognized multi-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program, with at least two years (60 credit hours) completed.
Priority will be given to applicants who hold, or are eligible to hold, a valid New Brunswick Teacher's Certificate.
Must have completed a minimum of two years of post-secondary education (diploma or equivalent).

All applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Candidates with valid work permits are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the conditions outlined in their permit.

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes

We are looking for individuals who:

Have experience working with children and youth.
Are committed to creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive classrooms for all students.
Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
Are punctual, professional, and dependable.
Are flexible and adaptable, as assignments vary in location, grade level, and class composition.
Are available for on-call, daily assignments.
