At Aqua Production Systems (APS), we don’t just build equipment, we create some of the largest and most advanced lobster and seafood holding systems in the world. From our home base in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, we’ve grown into an industry leader with clients across North America and beyond. Around here, we’re kind of a big deal.

This isn’t a desk job. Our technicians travel, solve problems, install equipment, and help bring large-scale aquaculture systems to life.

If you’re the kind of person who already owns a pair of steel-toe boots and prefers building things to sitting in meetings, we hope you apply.

What You’ll Be Doing

Traveling to project sites across North America (sometimes remote and isolated locations)
Installing, troubleshooting, and servicing lobster tanks and aquaculture systems (aka giant fish tanks!)
Working independently on-site, while staying connected with our office team
Using plumbing, mechanical, and problem-solving skills to keep systems running smoothly
Representing APS with professionalism and pride; we’re known for our expertise, and you’ll be part of that reputation

What We’re Looking For

A valid Canadian passport (non-negotiable—you’ll be traveling to the U.S.)
A clean driving record and comfort driving in rural/remote areas
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in different environments
Hands-on experience with tools (plumbing, mechanical trades, or aquaculture is a bonus!)
Willingness to travel for extended periods when projects require
A team player with a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly (equipment, tools, and materials)
Comfortable working around water, in varied weather conditions, and in physically demanding environments
Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and working on your feet for extended periods
