What You'll Do
As our Product & Commercialization Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the journey of new products from concept to market launch. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and our manufacturing partners, you'll help ensure projects stay on track, products meet the highest standards, and launches are executed successfully.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development Support
- Coordinate product development activities with manufacturing partners.
- Track timelines, deliverables, formulations, prototypes, and plant trials.
- Coordinate product samples for internal reviews, customer presentations, and evaluations.
- Collect and communicate technical, sensory, and stakeholder feedback.
- Maintain accurate product specifications and supporting documentation.
Commercialization & Launch Execution
- Support Freybe's Stage-Gate commercialization process from concept through launch.
- Coordinate project milestones, approvals, timelines, and action items.
- Assist with scale-up trials and production runs.
- Monitor project status and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Packaging, Labels & Product Data
- Coordinate packaging and label development projects.
- Support regulatory and brand compliance reviews.
- Manage packaging approval workflows and print timelines.
- Maintain product specifications, GS1 submissions, imaging submissions, and related product data.
Regulatory & Technical Support
- Assist with ensuring compliance with Canadian food safety and labeling regulations.
- Maintain ingredient and supplier documentation.
- Support technical packaging reviews and regulatory approvals.
- Respond to internal and external product-related inquiries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams.
- Support customer presentations and technical responses.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Help coordinate responses to customer and consumer inquiries.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve commercialization processes and workflows.
- Support portfolio management activities and product lifecycle updates.
- Assist in developing tools, templates, and systems that improve efficiency and execution.
What You BringEducation
- Post-secondary education in Food Science, Food Technology, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in product development, product marketing, commercialization, or a related field.
- Experience within food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments is preferred.
- Exposure to packaging development, product specifications, or print production is considered an asset.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) is an asset.
- Experience with formulation, specification, or PLM systems is an asset.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work a minimum of four days per week in-office
