Full job description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Deckhands to join our team in both log and barge towing capacities. As a Deckhand, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessel. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for maritime activities.

In the event applicant has no experience, but shows potential, the company offers a training program that pays $25/hr for 30-34 shifts, or until signed off by 2 senior captains. Please research the position prior to applying.

Duties

Deckhand duties for towing logs and barges alike.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on deck and equipment to ensure everything is in good working order.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure environment for crew.
Collaborate with other crew members to ensure safe, efficient operations and communication on board the vessel.

Skills

Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Be physically capable of repetitively lifting and carrying in excess of 50lbs.
Good communication skills to work well within a team environment.
Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Enroll in Marine Emergency Duties course within 3 months of hire.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45.33-$48.66 per hour
