Job Title: Residential Carpenter / Carpenter's Apprentice (New Home Construction)
Location: Deer Lake, NL Job Type: Full-Time Wage: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour (Based on experience)
About the Position: We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Carpenter to join our crew in Deer Lake, NL. Our work focuses exclusively on new home residential construction, building high-quality houses from the ground up. You will be helping to bring floor plans to life, working on everything from the initial framing to spacious open-concept living areas and the installation of modern custom cabinetry.
Whether you are an experienced carpenter looking for a steady crew, or a highly motivated individual eager to learn the trade, we want to hear from you. We are fully willing to train the right candidate who shows up on time, works hard, and takes pride in their craftsmanship. Experience is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting with or leading various stages of new residential home builds.
- Working on residential framing, roofing, and exterior finishing.
- Installing interior finishes, including doors, baseboards, trim, and modern custom cabinets.
- Following blueprints and architectural floor plans to ensure accurate, high-quality builds.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient job site.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous carpentry or construction experience is preferred, but we will train the right entry-level candidate.
- Skills: Familiarity with hand and power tools, accurate measuring, and basic residential building materials.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of handling the daily demands of a construction site.
- Team Player: Ability to take direction, communicate well, work safely alongside a crew, and deliver top-notch results.
- Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around the Deer Lake area.
