Full job description

Cahill Fabrication Structural, a division of The Cahill Group, is currently recruiting CNC Plasma Table Operator to join our team at our fabrication facility in Torbay, NL.

As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to major Canadian defense shipbuilding projects, fabricating structural steel components that support one of the country's largest and most significant marine construction programs, while also working on a diverse range of fabrication projects across the offshore, mining, industrial, and commercial sectors. Every day brings something different, with meaningful, hands-on work that helps deliver high-quality structural steel solutions for clients across the country.

As we continue to grow, we're hiring Fitters, Welders, CNC Operators, Blasters, Painters, and Production Workers to support the exciting work happening at our fabrication facility. If you're looking to build your career with long-term opportunities while working alongside experienced tradespeople in a safe, collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What We Offer

Successful candidates will be hired in accordance with the terms and conditions of the FFAW/Unifor Collective Agreement, including applicable wage rates, premiums, and benefits
Rate: $30.33/hour
Friday – Monday schedule

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Set up and operate CNC cutting equipment for plates and steel profiles.
Read and interpret drawings and CNC files.
Monitor cut quality and inspect finished parts.
Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.

Qualifications

Hands on experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment.
Experience working with and processing steel plate and profiles.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings with confidence.
Strong focus on safety and quality.
