Lead Project Manager — Remote Luxury Island Development
Canadian Adventure Charters Inc. (CAC) is seeking an exceptional Lead Project Manager to lead the development of CAC–CCC Gooseberry Island, a landmark remote luxury expedition, private estate, marine research, training and renewable-energy development in Newfoundland, Canada.
This is an executive-level opportunity for a highly technical project leader who can take a complex remote development from:
VISION → ENGINEERING → PERMITTING → TENDER → CONSTRUCTION → COMMISSIONING → AS-BUILT
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are an experienced senior project manager with a proven background in remote, offshore, island, luxury hospitality, residential, marine and technically complex developments.
You must be comfortable coordinating world-class architects, engineers, contractors, marine specialists and technology partners in a challenging remote offshore island environment.
REQUIRED
- Must live in Canada and be legally eligible to work in Canada
- 15+ years professional experience; 20+ preferred
- Proven senior project/construction management experience
- Remote/offshore/island development experience strongly required
- Fully understand of tug & barge, small vessels and helicopter operations is a must.
- Strong technical/engineering background
- Experience managing multidisciplinary architectural and engineering teams
- Advanced understanding of BIM, AutoCAD/Revit and digital construction
- Strong understanding of off-grid renewable-energy systems and microgrids
- Knowledge of solar PV, wind, battery storage, backup generation and energy management
- Extensive understanding of climate change and global warming ,emergency management planning and preparedness and disaster resistant materials and construction is a must.
- Experience or strong technical knowledge of large-scale 3D-printed construction
- Understanding of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical coordination
- Experience with marine logistics and remote construction is highly desirable
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, procurement and contract-management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel extensively to Newfoundland & Labrador and work in a remote offshore environment
YOUR ROLE
You will lead the integrated project-management process covering:
Master Planning Architecture Engineering BIM Civil Marine Renewable Energy 3D Construction Procurement Tendering Construction Commissioning As-Built Documentation
You will coordinate CAC–CCC's professional partners, potentially including leading Canadian and international architecture and engineering firms, Newfoundland & Labrador consultants, construction technology companies and specialist contractors.

COMPENSATION
