Rally operates in demanding environments — and we’re looking for experienced Diamond Drillers who can deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality results under field conditions.

Position Summary

As a Diamond Driller, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a diamond drill rig to produce core samples for mineral exploration. You’ll lead a small crew, ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures, and maintain high productivity and drill performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operate surface or heliportable diamond drill rigs safely and efficiently.
Supervise and train the drill helper(s) assigned to your crew.
Monitor drill parameters (pressure, torque, depth, core recovery, etc.) and maintain accurate daily logs.
Conduct routine mechanical inspections and minor maintenance on drill equipment.
Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and client representatives.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Rally’s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Assist with rig moves, setup, and demobilization in remote or rugged terrain.
Record and report production metrics, equipment issues, and consumable usage.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience operating surface or underground diamond drills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to work rotational shifts in remote locations.
Physically fit and able to perform demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Valid driver’s licence; valid First Aid, WHMIS, and Fall Protection tickets are assets.
Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
