Job Title: Production Associate – Cheese Cutter
Job Description
This role focuses on supporting a high-volume dairy production facility that specializes in yogurt and feta cheese. You will primarily cut and portion blocks of feta cheese by hand, weigh each piece accurately, and prepare products for packaging while following strict food safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Cut blocks of feta cheese by hand using knives, ensuring consistent portion sizes according to production specifications.

Weigh cheese portions accurately before packaging to meet product weight and quality requirements.

Assist in the preparation of yogurt and other dairy products by mixing ingredients and loading them into production machines as needed.

Support general production activities, including assembly, packaging, and machine operation within the production line.

Perform visual inspection of products and packaging to identify defects or inconsistencies and take corrective action when necessary.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures at all times.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment used for cutting and packaging.

Handle materials safely by lifting and moving products weighing up to 30 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and maintain efficient workflow.

Adhere to all workplace policies, including safety rules, dress code, and facility guidelines, to ensure a safe and compliant production environment.
Essential Skills

Minimum 1+ year of manufacturing experience, ideally in a food production setting.

Experience performing general labor tasks in a production or manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift and lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly and safely.

Comfort using knives or hand tools to cut and handle soft cheese products.

Basic experience with general production, including assembly, packaging, and inspection.

Ability to operate or support machine operation in a production environment.

Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate weighing, portioning, and quality inspection of products.

Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety guidelines.

Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in packaging within a manufacturing or food production environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a food production facility where adherence to strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards is essential. You will work on your feet for most of an 8-hour shift and regularly lift up to 30 lbs while performing cutting, weighing, and packaging tasks. The environment requires specific attire and personal presentation: you must wear or bring socks, as safety boots will be provided on-site. Contact lenses, fingernail polish, false eyelashes, and jewelry are not permitted, and prescription glasses with jewels or embellishments are also prohibited to maintain food safety. The facility operates as a scent-free environment, so the use of perfumes, colognes, and scented products is not allowed. You will work around production machinery, packaging lines, and inspection stations, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and established safety protocols throughout your shift.
