The Opportunity
The Warehousing Manager will oversee daily logistics operations, coordinate on-the-floor staff, and ensure absolute inventory accuracy across our facility. In this role, you will bridge the gap between upper management and daily operations to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective receiving, storing, shipping, and distribution of all materials, parts, and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Directing shift schedules, assigning daily tasks, training new hires, and conducting performance reviews.
- Overseeing stock takes, tracking shipments, and resolving inventory discrepancies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Enforcing workplace safety regulations, conducting equipment inspections, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identifying inefficiencies in workflows and implementing process improvements to maximize productivity.
- Collaborating with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to prioritize orders and meet customer demands
- Supervise, plan, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and maintaining inventories of materials, parts and products; processing purchasing transactions; coordinating production work; dispatching crews; scheduling transportation crews and routes; and other related activities
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards and regulations in force and participate in their improvement
- Resolve various problems and related complaints and implement corrective measures and process improvements

- Requisition supplies and materials
- Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work
- May conduct performance reviews of supervised workers
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience, preferably in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or industrial supply environment.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in the industrial and hydraulic hose sector would be an asset.
- Currently holds, or be prepared to complete, a forklift operator certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with a "lead-by-example" mindset and the ability to train and motivate a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to resolve inventory discrepancies, scheduling conflicts, and operational challenges.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between upper management and on-the-floor operations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with procurement, sales, and external transport crews.
- Ability to learn quickly and efficiently adapt to changing inventory demands and workflow optimizations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with little to no supervision and take ownership of the warehouse floor.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight shipping and receiving deadlines.
- High computer proficiency, specifically with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
