Cahill Fabrication Structural, a division of The Cahill Group, is currently recruiting Labourers to join our team at our fabrication facility in Torbay, NL.
The Labourers support daily operations in a steel fabrication shop by assisting tradespeople, handling materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, preparing finished products for shipment, and performing general shop duties as assigned. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
As we continue to grow, we're hiring Fitters, Welders, CNC Operators, Blasters, Painters, and Production Workers to support the exciting work happening at our fabrication facility. Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Assist welders, fitters, machine operators, and other shop personnel with daily fabrication tasks.

Read and follow basic work instructions, shop paperwork, labels, and direction from supervisors or lead hands.

Sort, organize, and stage materials, parts, scrap, consumables, and finished products as required.

Operate basic hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other shop equipment only when trained and authorized.

Follow all company safety policies, safe work practices, personal protective equipment requirements, and housekeeping standards.

Perform other general labour duties as assigned to support production and shipping requirements.

Assist with general yard, shop, and storage area cleanup as required.

Wrap, pack, bundle, band, label, and protect items to prevent damage during handling and transport.

Use appropriate packing materials, skids, pallets, dunnage, straps, banding, or protective coverings as required.

Assist with staging completed orders in designated shipping areas.

WHMIS, forklift, overhead crane, rigging, or first aid training is considered an asset where applicable.
Qualifications

Experience working in fabrication environment.

Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
