Overview

Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily kitchen operations, support food preparation and service, and ensure adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will also have FOH bartending and supervising experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food service.
Manage food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.
Support food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and cleanliness standards.
Coordinate with team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of menu items.
Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment and fostering teamwork among staff.
Handle customer service issues related to the kitchen area, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Assist in controlling Food Cost and BOH labour.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling.
Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles is preferred.
Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively and motivate staff.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to serve guests professionally.
Familiarity with restaurant management systems is a plus.
A passion for the food industry and delivering exceptional customer service.

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
