Positions Available: 1st to 3rd Year Sheetmetal Worker Apprentices

Responsibilities May Include:

Layout, fabricate, and install HVAC duct systems and related components
Install ductwork, fittings, registers, grilles, diffusers, and HVAC equipment
Fabricate and install duct hangers and support systems
Select and work with HVAC materials, fittings, and joining methods
Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
Coordinate work with supervisors, journeypersons, co-workers, and other trades
Follow SMACNA standards, project specifications, building codes, and company procedures
Maintain safe work practices and comply with all health and safety requirements
Contribute to project success through quality workmanship, productivity, and teamwork
Support and mentor less experienced apprentices when appropriate

Note: Duties and responsibilities will vary based on apprenticeship level, experience, and project requirements.

Qualifications:

Registered 1st to 3rd Year Sheet Metal Apprentice; entry-level candidates interested in pursuing a Sheet Metal Apprenticeship are also encouraged to apply
Knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal materials, fittings, and installation practices appropriate to apprenticeship level
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (or willingness to learn)
Experience with commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects (preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and organizational skills
Safety conscious with a commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work safely at heights and perform the physical demands of the trade
Valid G Driver's Licence and reliable transportation
