Full job description

Looking for a farm manager for a network of farms in the Niagara Region, with experience in agriculture. Experience in vineyards and/or tree fruit would be preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee crop production, ensuring optimal plant health and yield.
Monitor and manage workers, equipment, nutrition programs, IPM programs, irrigation, etc.
Oversee and/or conduct regular scouting and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
Work closely with all team members to optimize farm conditions and production schedules.
Maintain detailed records of crop performance, treatments, and environmental conditions.
Collaborate with owner to improve growing techniques and efficiencies.
Oversee and direct health and safety program.
Oversee maintenance program for equipment and infrastructure.
Other responsibilities/tasks as assigned

Job Requirements :

Pesticide License an asset
Exterminator License an asset
Minimum of 3 years on farm experience
Strong professional communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent time management, decision making and interpersonal skills
Team player
Must be able to work independently
Valid G License
DZ or AZ licenses an asset
Position requires Monday - Saturday, Holidays as needed.
Longer work hours are expected and necessary during busy seasonal peaks and harvest times.
Candidate must be able to stand, kneel, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
Spanish speaking considered an asset, but not necessary

Pay: Compensation based on experience.
