Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing group of companies. The position will perform full-cycle accounting, month end closing, year-end working papers, government remittances, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.

This position supports a number of companies under the same ownership. We are growing and it is busy - but that makes this position exciting. We have a great company culture and atmosphere. We work hard but we enjoy our functions, coffee & lunches together and casual dress.

The position is 3 days a week - Wednesday to Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Weekly/monthly bank reconciliations

· Prepare weekly cash flow and order reports

· HST, WSIB, Corporate Taxes

· Visa entries

· Enter AP

· Preparation of cheque runs & EFT payments

· Generate invoices

· AR Collection

· Credit Card payments

· Bank deposits

· Processing payroll and remittances

· Annual issuance of T4’s and Summaries

· Month end closing entries

· Intercompany account reconciliations and intercompany billing

· Prepare year end files for external accountants

· Provide information to clear all year end queries

· Close year end and roll new year

· Back up to Executive Assistant

· Sale support when necessary

· Assist with company events

Competencies:

· Full cycle bookkeeping experience required

· Proficiency with QuickBooks, Dynamics, Excel and Outlook

Personal Traits:

· Friendly and professional demeanour

· Strong attention to detail; ability to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Ability to work in a team environment with ease

· Excellent oral and written skills

Qualifications:

· Post-secondary education in Accounting

· Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience

Pay: $30.00 per hour
