Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and excellent customer service skills. This role involves preparing delicious sandwiches, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and providing a welcoming experience for all customers. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy hours
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas
Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and protocols
Assist with cashier duties, including processing payments accurately and upselling menu items when appropriate
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

Prior experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment is preferred
Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting
Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
