W.P. Telectronics is a proudly Canadian-owned telecommunications contractor trusted by major clients including Telus, Bell, SaskTel, and others. We are currently hiring experienced Copper Splicers with aerial experience to support active and upcoming projects across Canada.

This role is best suited for skilled, productivity-driven technicians who are comfortable traveling and working in the field.

We are looking for an experienced and productivity-driven Aerial Lineman to join our expanding team. In 2026 we have existing projects and new projects spanning from Ontario to BC. Each project provides the opportunity for technicians to maximize earning potential and contribute to connecting Canadians.

Job Duties

Perform copper splicing for telecom networks, ensuring signal quality and continuity
Install and repair copper and fiber cables (aerial, underground, buried)
Test splices and circuits using approved testing equipment
Read and interpret telecom design prints and update field documentation
Work safely at heights (15–40 ft), in confined spaces, and near energized lines
Operate splicing tools, power tools, bucket trucks, and company vehicles

Aside from having attributes that are in line with our core values, one other essential “must-have” is your ability to travel. WP Telectronics has projects all over Canada. We need road warriors who can go where the projects are. A typical shift rotation is 21 days on, 10 days off

Required Qualifications and Skills

Minimum 2 years of OSP copper splicing experience
Class 5 License and own transportation with a clean driver’s abstract
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Comfortable working in heights using ladders, spurs, and bucket vans (up to 40ft)
Comfortable working inside confined spaces such as telecom manholes and service vaults
Comfortable working alone and independently for days and weeks at a time
Current Confined Space Entry, First Aid, and/or Fall Protection Certification is an asset
