As the Coordinator, Social Media and Digital Experience, you will work collaboratively to play a pivotal role in shaping CPSA’s social media presence, driving engagement and ensuring that our external messaging supports the overall goals and strategic directions of CPSA. This role will focus on managing and enhancing our social media strategy, identifying key engagement opportunities and developing high-quality content that resonates with our audiences. The Coordinator, Social Media and Digital Experience, will also collaborate across departments to align digital efforts with broader organizational priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the execution of a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engage key audiences and support the organization's work toward our strategic directions.
- Support the development and execution of a social media content calendar, managing evergreen content independently, coordinating internal approvals and ensuring posting cadence across all platforms.
- Create and manage engaging content for our social media platforms that aligns with the organization's mission and objectives, adapting language, tone and format to suit each platform’s audience and best practices.
- Monitor social media platforms, foster meaningful engagement with our audience and respond to comments or inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with CPSA Communications Advisors and other departments to integrate their initiatives, campaigns and events into the social media plan, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall communication strategy.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to refine strategy and improve engagement metrics.
- Assist the Brand & Digital Advisor with other digital content creation (e.g., videos), website updates and execution of digital campaigns to ensure cohesive and integrated online communication efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends, tools and best practices, recommending innovative ideas to improve the organization’s online presence.
- Support the Communications team with other initiatives as required
- In support of continuous quality improvement, review and make recommendations to update processes or procedures within the program
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or other related field.
- 1 year of related experience
- Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms, developing content and executing social strategies, with a strong understanding of platform-specific nuances and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to apply and maintain brand voice and tone guidelines across diverse content types and platforms.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, etc.).
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Premier, etc.)
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, website management, and analytics reporting (WordPress or similar platforms) is an asset.
- Familiarity with video creation and editing is an asset.
SALARY
The annual salary for this position is $69,342 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
