Full job description

We’re looking for a skilled powder coater who takes pride in clean, high-quality work and is ready to support the broader shop when needed. This is not a “just spray parts and go home” role. We need someone who holds high standards for themselves, operates with a backbone, and wants to grow with the company — not simply collect a paycheque.

What You’ll Do

Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently to deliver consistent, high-quality finishes
Prepare parts properly (cleaning, masking, unmasking) using hand and power tools
Support setup, calibration, and routine maintenance of spray booths, ovens, conveyors, and related equipment
Use forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices to move materials and heavy parts safely
Assist with general shop labour, basic assembly, and production support as required
Keep the coating area and surrounding workspace clean, organized, and efficient
Follow lean principles — identify waste, improve flow, and help raise overall shop standards
Communicate clearly both ways and stay ahead of the work rather than waiting to be told what to do

Who We’re Looking For

Proven experience in powder coating (industrial or commercial preferred)
Holds high standards for themselves and takes real pride in the quality of their work
Clean, efficient, and organized — leaves the booth and work area better than they found it
Has a backbone — can take direct criticism and face reality without getting defensive
Open communicator who gives and receives information clearly both ways
Accountable and willing to hold others accountable when standards slip
Forward-thinking — looks for better ways to do the job and improve throughput
Comfortable operating forklifts (certification preferred) and doing physical shop work
Basic mechanical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing processes
Strong understanding of safety practices related to powder coating, material handling, and shop equipment
Willing to work the hours required when the shop is busy
