Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Qualified Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in Montessori teaching methods, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves working closely with children, families, and colleagues to support developmental milestones and promote a love of learning.

Responsibilities

Create and implement Montessori-based lesson plans tailored to individual children's needs and developmental stages
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating effectively with parents and team members
Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and relationship-building
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional growth
Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in accordance with licensing requirements
Integrate bilingual communication (English/French) as appropriate to support language development
Utilize computer skills for record keeping, communication, and educational resources management

Requirements

Valid Montessori Qualified Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) certification
Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings; classroom experience preferred
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is a plus
Knowledge of child development principles, special education needs, and working with children with disabilities is desirable
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment
Leadership qualities to guide children confidently while fostering independence
Proficiency in computer operation for documentation and communication purposes
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and demonstrate strong writing skills for reporting purposes
Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of early childhood education practices

Pay: $21.00-$24.86 per hour
