Canadore Employment Solutions (CES) is seeking a compassionate, organized, and client-focused Office Assistant to provide frontline and administrative support to students, alumni, and community members accessing employment services. This role supports daily operations, assist with client intake and appointment scheduling, maintains documentation and ensures a welcoming, client-centered environment at CES.
Qualifications:
- Two-year Diploma in Office Administration, Social Service Worker, Public Administration, Business or related discipline
- Minimum two years of recent administrative support experience in a fast paced, computer automated office that demands consistent high quality
- Experience providing support to diverse client groups and working effectively in a multicultural environment
- Awareness of and commitment to supporting clients facing barriers to employment
- Strong technology and information management skills
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer and office technology; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) required
- Must be able to reliably commute daily and/or relocate to North Bay, ON required
Responsibilities:
- Provide front desk coverage, greet visitors, answer inquiries and direct calls and emails
- Assist clients with the intake and registration process to verify client eligibility and suitability for employment services and supports
- Schedule client appointments and support Employment Advisors as needed
- Maintain organized filing systems, enter client data, upload documents, and track statistical information
- Assist clients using workstations and provide printing support for resumes and job search materials
- Stay current on job postings, labour market information, and support activities, events and programming
- Other duties as assigned
