Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and managing staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient kitchen workflows, supervising staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and consistency
Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes and customer preferences
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability
Train new staff on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and service standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment in accordance with health codes
Serve as a leader in the kitchen during service hours, providing guidance and support to team members
Monitor customer feedback to improve service quality and address any issues promptly

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred
Familiarity with food industry trends, menu development, and serving best practices
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and deliver exceptional customer service
