Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, with experience or interest in restaurant operations and food handling. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in food service.

Duties

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling as directed by kitchen staff.
Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Help with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed.
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures at all times.
Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables during service hours.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of basic cooking, food preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous.
Ability to handle food safely and follow hygiene standards diligently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or evenings if necessary.
