Engineering for Kids is seeking an energetic, passionate Dungeons & Dragons expert to join our dynamic 2026 Summer Camp team!
We're looking for STEM Summer Camp Leaders who possesses in-depth knowledge of DnD game mechanics, creative character creation, and has proven experience leading immersive adventures as a Dungeon Master. The ideal candidate is eager to bring excitement, creativity, and educational value to our camp, inspiring children ages 8-12 through imaginative play and hands-on learning.
Since 2016, Engineering for Kids Victoria has been committed to delivering engaging, interactive STEM classes and camps. We firmly believe that learning happens best when children are having fun—and it's just as important for our instructors to have fun too!
Position Overview
You will work in a team of 2 to deliver our Dungeons & Dragons curriculum, support campers, and contribute to a fun, safe, and inclusive camp environment. We also encourage you to bring your own ideas, passions, and expertise to the role—creativity is welcome here!
Requirements:
- Must be available for 8 weeks of DnD camps
- Must own or have access to a vehicle to transport supplies to and from venues each week
Training: Training will be on a part-time basis.
Camp Dates: July 13-Sep 4
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Locations: Recreation centres and schools throughout Victoria, Langford, Sidney, Oak Bay, and Saanich.
Pay Range: $20.28 - $22.36 ($19.50- $21.50 plus 4% in lieu of vacation pay)

Plus, we provide everything you need to successfully assist camps, including supplies, equipment, and foundational curriculum.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and take down camp space and supplies, including tables, chairs and items provided by EFK
- Organize and lead themed, age-appropriate activities for campers
- Manage group behaviour and deal with incidents appropriately
- Communicate with EFK Admin and site contacts with camp updates
- Encourage, support, and engage with campers
- Provide appropriate support that considers the unique abilities of each camper
- Create and maintain a fun, safe, and inclusive environment
- Follow policies surrounding dress code, safety, and inclusivity
- Apply feedback from Camp Leaders and the EFK Admin team
- Demonstrate initiative by seeking additional Engineering For Kids training and further education
- Be professional, courteous, and approachable to students, parents, and staff
- Be a positive role model - the children look up to you!
Qualifications and Experience
Experience:
- Customer service (any preferred)
- Teaching (1-3 years preferred)
- Working with children ages 8-12 (1-3 years preferred)
- Dungeons & Dragons (1-3 years preferred)
Skills:
- Group management – Experience working with groups of 16+ children is a strong asset
- Behaviour support – Skilled at managing individual and group dynamics in a positive, inclusive way
- Strong communication – Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with children, parents, and teammates
- STEM storytelling – Can break down STEM concepts into simple, engaging, and relatable explanations
- Problem-solving on the fly – Comfortable thinking on your feet and responding calmly to everyday camp challenges
- Engaging facilitation – Skilled at capturing kids’ attention through hands-on, interactive learning experiences
- Open to feedback – Willing to learn, grow, and adjust based on constructive feedback
- Stamina and presence – Able to stay alert, focused, and physically active throughout the camp shift

- Current Emergency First-Aid and CPR C Certificate
