Canpac Marine Services Inc. is currently seeking qualified and experienced marine personnel to join the Canpac Valkyrie, our DP2 multi-purpose offshore supply and subsea vessel.
The Canpac Valkyrie is an 87-metre DNV-classed DP2 vessel configured for offshore, IMR, ROV and subsea operations.
We are currently accepting applications for a number of deck, engineering and vessel crew positions.
Positions Available
Master / Captain
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Certificate of Competency (CoC) appropriate for the vessel, position and voyage
- Must have previous experience operating DP vessels
- Valid DP certification required
- Previous DP2 and offshore vessel experience strongly preferred
- Must hold all applicable Transport Canada and STCW certifications and endorsements
Chief Mate / Deck Officers
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Certificate of Competency (CoC) appropriate for the position
- DP vessel experience required
- Valid DP certification appropriate to the position required
- Previous DP2, offshore, subsea or supply vessel experience strongly preferred
- Must hold all applicable Transport Canada and STCW certifications and endorsements
Able Seafarers / ABs
- Must hold a valid Bridge Watch Rating certificate
- Must hold all Transport Canada certifications required for the position
- Previous offshore, DP, subsea or supply vessel experience preferred
- Experience supporting deck, crane, ROV or subsea operations is considered an asset
Engineering Officers / Engineering Crew
- Must hold the applicable Transport Canada Certificate of Competency for the position
- Engine Watch certification is preferred where applicable
- Previous offshore, DP or supply vessel experience preferred
- Must hold all applicable Transport Canada and STCW certifications and endorsements
Ship's Cook
- Must hold the applicable Transport Canada qualifications and certifications required to serve as a ship's cook aboard a vessel engaged on international voyages
- Previous experience aboard offshore or commercial vessels preferred
- Must be experienced in preparing meals for vessel crews during extended rotations
- Must hold all applicable Transport Canada and STCW certifications required for the position
Mandatory General Requirements
All applicants must:
- Hold a valid Canadian passport with a minimum of six (6) months' validity remaining
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Transport Canada Marine Medical Certificate
- Hold all current Certificates of Competency, STCW/MED training, endorsements and other certifications required by Transport Canada for their position
- Be eligible and available for international travel
- Be available to work extended vessel rotations
- Be comfortable working in an offshore marine environment
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism and teamwork
About the Canpac Valkyrie
The Canpac Valkyrie is an 87-metre, DNV-classed multi-purpose offshore supply vessel with a DP2 dynamic positioning system.
The vessel is configured to support a range of offshore and subsea operations and is equipped with a 60-tonne AHC subsea crane, ROV/LARS capabilities and subsea positioning equipment.
