Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Helper to join our dynamic construction team! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled tile setters in preparing work sites, handling materials, and ensuring smooth installation processes. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will contribute to creating beautiful, durable tiled surfaces for our clients. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction, flooring installation, and tile laying while working alongside experienced professionals. If you’re eager to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect role for you!

Duties

Assist with the preparation of work areas by cleaning surfaces and setting up tools and materials
Handle hand tools such as trowels, levels, and cutters to support tile installation tasks
Support the tile setters in laying tiles accurately according to blueprints and specifications
Mix and apply grout, mortar, and caulking to ensure secure tile placement and finished surfaces
Help with measuring spaces, reading blueprints, and marking layouts for precise tile placement
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly
Support carpentry tasks related to flooring or subfloor preparation as needed

Qualifications

Experience using hand tools commonly used in construction or tile work
Basic knowledge of construction processes and flooring installation techniques
Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
Prior handyman or carpentry experience is beneficial but not required
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills on the job
Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the day
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
