A valid CPA Designation (or valid international equivalent), or successful completion of the CFE and working towards a CPA designation,
Relevant audit experience within a Canadian CPA firm is considered an asset,
Previous experience with Canadian Corporate/Personal Tax, Payroll Tax, Sales Tax, and other CRA compliance matters is considered an asset,
Experience dealing with Taxprep and Caseware is considered an asset,
Previous experience using various accounting software including Sage50, Sage300, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop is considered an asset,
Willingness and ability to travel,
Excellent communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills required,
The ability to work independently, or in a team dynamic, in a fast-paced work environment,
A can-do attitude and commitment to excellence

Responsibilities:

Work independently in a wide variety of engagements under the leadership of Managers, Senior Managers and Partners
Take part in firm-development opportunities by providing research and other skills to help in standards administration and overall firm growth,
Assist in the development of assurance planning strategies and supervise their implementation,
Assist in the mentoring and development of Junior staff members,
Learn to develop and maintain client relationships.
